We want to share the wonderful news with you! Tekne Jewelry participated in the New York Fashion Week on Sunday, September 13, under the auspices of the Concept store New York Flying Solo. Tekne presented its new collection for spring / summer 2021 in collaboration with three talented clothing designers and one bag designer.
How did our participation in one of the most important annual fashion events come about? Quite accidentally and unpredictably as it usually happens in life! We were found by one of the Flying Solo scouts and that’s how it all started. We have to admit that we didn't know what it was about when we got the call but soon after googling on three phones and 2 computers we concluded that this was an opportunity not to be missed and preparations began!
We started with the sketches and continued on, as did everyone who participated, and we all arrived at the last minute, but it paid off! Although everything was difficult for us in the conditions in which the world found itself this year, we felt that now was our moment!
We didn't manage to go to the fashion show, but we had our wonderful assistant Jovan Zeljković, who, we would say, did a better job than us. Now he is also part of our small team.
The designers we have worked with are already part of the Flying Solo collective of about 100 designers. We collaborated with the beautiful Oxygene whose chief designer, inspired by Chinese traditional clothing, has made a beautiful collection of sustainable materials, NOT Aligne koji sebe opisuju kao brend intimne i interaktivne odjeće i jakih boja, Salisa a Thai brand inspired by the streets of New York and the wonderful designer Alice Jardley from Alice Yardley Maine which makes beautiful bags from locally recycled leather.
And now a little about our collection that we have prepared for you, which will soon be available on our website as a pre-sale! The collection for the spring of 2021 is called HEAVEN and is inspired by Jana’s paintings that deal with the landscape in an abstract way. This time the landscapes he deals with are celestial, those from space. The inspiration for the shapes comes from jewelry from the late 80's and early 90's. Improved with high-quality hand processing and material, they now shine.
Follow our news and soon find out even more about our new collection that we had the honor to present at New York Fashion Week!
